I think you have a … I think you have a lot invested in this, and I think that your self-concept might rest partly on whether or not punk is respectable, so I’ll just be neutral and say that punk is in no way better or worse than anything else.

Too bad that every … Too bad that every original idea has been used up musically these days. I mean after punk injected rock with a much needed shot of adrenaline, what else could really be done? You had Elvis in the 50’s, The Who in the 60’s and The Sex Pistols in the 70’s. There hasn’t been anything exciting happening in music since. That’s why bands like The Sex Pistols or The Who have to keep playing because this generation has dropped the ball so to speak.
For the same reason … For the same reason i watch world war 2 documentaries, or documentaries about whatever subject, because they are interesting. Not because i always have some sort of high regard for the subject matter.
anyways, i actually don’t have that much against punks. i don’t think i was really being fair, punks are all right. and since ‘loser’ is a really vague and stupid insult it doesn’t even really hold any sway. it’s all subjective anyways so whatever.
