Black Flag “Rise Above”

In many ways, Black Flag were the definitive Los Angeles hardcore punk band. Although their music flirted with heavy metal and experimental noise and jazz more than that of most hardcore bands, they defined the image and the aesthetic. Through their ceaseless touring, the band cultivated the American underground punk scene; every year, Black Flag played in every area of the U.S., influencing countless numbers of bands.

    Chuck’s a drummer and wasn’t in Black Flag very long, 1982 only. He played with DOA 1978-82, Circle Jerks 1983-84, Danzig 1987-94, Run DMC 1988, Social Distortion 1996-99.
