I really hope that … I really hope that some of these younger kids here that claim to be punk see this video and learn something from it. It also saddens me when I hear someone talking about how “punk” Avril what’s-her-bitch is. Also it kinda makes me want to punch them in the face, but I don’t think I’m alone on that. lol
continued……how … continued……how true about the comment in this doc. about 12 year olds buying Misfits shirts. a couple years ago, i saw a CBGB’s shirt in a store similar to Hot Topics & thought to myself - do these kids even know what CBGB’s was, & the amazing bands that played there & what CBGB even stood for? it’s as if these kids are trying to be cool, but have no clue what they’re trying to be cool about!

it is a shame that Punk fashion has become more mainstream these days. like people saying Avril Livine(sp?) are punk! are you ing kidding me? i get kinda sad & nostalgic when i think of how in the 70’s & 80’s, punk was so different, expressive & unique. now it’s almost become the norm. i agree with a lot of the commentary in this doc. such a shame how the original Punk fashions have become now.

Punk began as … Punk began as fashion. If you’re a punk you have to have a sense of humor about yourself because regardless of how sincere you are or what ideas you believe in, the fact is punk originated as a bullshit fashion trend.
punk is not ing … punk is not ing fashion. and clothing style and hairstyle aren’t the most important points. in fact, what really cares is not a ing look, is the IDEOLOGY.
