Ok…I ed up the vid because I put Sum 41 - Still Waiting at Punk Rock songs..but that song is punk rock…Anyway…Sum 41 is a pop-punk band! I IN’ KNOW! But they have some punk rock songs, they’re not like Simple Plan or Good Charlotte or like that..But Sum 41 IS NOT A PUNK ROCK BAND! THEY’RE POP PUNK…If you guys don’t like the vid, don’t watch it! wtf!?

in my opinion Green …
in my opinion Green Day is a ”poppunk” band, because the fans and the music (light rock and happy) but there one of the ”poppunk” bands with a lot of more punk influes, more then blink 182 and simple plan.

I’ve said this before…..I’ve been listening to “punk rock” for a long time and I love all the comments people leave on these videos. Who’s to say what punkrock is or isn’t! who made YOU the be all end all of punk rock? I admit most of what is deemed “punk” may not fit into an elitists metality, but but who made you “King of Punk Rock!” If they want to call themselves “Punk” them let them.

Green Day - American Idiot is definitely Punk Rock (”the subliminal mind America”)…since it’s theme is anti-social/rebellious or anti-government. It doesn’t matter they are sell-outs or whatever! If people (punk-rockers) want to buy their albums and they make certain TV appearances to spread their anti-political messages that doesn’t mean they’re not punk rock anymore! The meaning of PUNK ROCK is really complex!
