Rubella ballet. Flimed on tour 1983, original Punk band often seen with legendary anarchy band Crass & Poison Girls. Zillah vocalist, & lyricist with rubella ballet brought up in the drab grey of londons tough east end. Decided being a punk at 15 in 1976 wasn’t dangerous enough, might as well wear home made punk clothes in day-glo!
Never sold out to any major labels, Rubella ballet are an original Anarchy punk D.I. Y band. Also described as Goths, positive punk, Death rockers etc as we also played with, Faith No More, The Cult, New Model Army, Death Cult, The Mission, Sex Gang Children, Ausgang, the Mob, Blood & Roses. 1979- now thats a lot of gigs. Rubella ballet live as seen, punk.
Drummer Sid was also the drummer for Flux of Pink indians on Neu smell.
